A game prototype I created for my bachelor's degree. The purpose of this project was to explore how to create a defamiliarizing atmosphere in a video game setting. The prototype took about three months to develop.

In R.E.M players guide a young girl named Rem through these fragmented, shifting nightmares, helping her confront the deep fears and unresolved grief that plague her mind. With each nightmarish encounter, Rem uncovers hidden truths about herself, her past, and the bond with her sister she’s too afraid to face. Will she learn to accept her loss and find a path toward healing, or will the nightmares claim her mind forever?
